Move about and take a breath of fresh air with outdoor sports and activities

To complete the effect of the spa on your well-being and tone your muscles, the largest forest in Normandy has countless outdoor sporting and leisure activities in store for you in a 7000-hectare playground!

Nordic walking:

Our undulating forest is the ideal place to abandon yourself to the joys of this very fashionable sport, which is more intense than just walking but less traumatic on the joints than running. Trainers on, poles up and off you go, on over 280 km of signposted paths!

Fitness trail:

18 exercise stations in the great outdoors over a distance of 1.5 km, to work your way around at your own pace, keep fit and get some fresh air.

Tree-top trail:

"Le Bois" invites you to discover the Andaines forest from tree to tree, in a fun and acrobatic way. Trails are available for everyone at every level, from beginners to those looking for greater challenges.

Mountain biking:

More than 460 km of approved mountain bike trails criss-cross the neighbouring forest, just waiting to unfold under your wheels!

Tennis:

The Maxime Merlin tennis complex is a "Centre de Ligue" venue, with 6 artificial clay (Terbal) indoor courts and 6 hard outdoor courts. It can accommodate international events (International Seniors+ Tournament, Future Men's Professional Tournament – ITF), and national events (Finals of the Inter-league French Championships between teams).
The Bagnoles Tennis Club plays an important role at the regional and departmental level, and is making a name for itself on the tennis scene. It is hosting the final stages of the Orne seniors+, Seniors and Youth Individual Championships, the qualifying stages of the Little Aces Tournament, the Nesta Cup, the "Raquettes Madame Figaro" and inter-company matches (corporate).

Golf:

9-hole municipal golf course with club house including pro shop, bar and restaurant.

GPS hikes:

Pre-programmed circuits: 3 walks, 1 mountain biking route and 1 with 8 remarkable sites.

Running:

With its gentle vales, the Andaines forest is the perfect setting for runners of all levels. In Bagnoles de l'Orne, running is a deeply embedded tradition. The "Foulées des Andaines" has been on the go for over 20 years. Every year, it gets junior and veteran runners charging through the village streets and around the forest.

Archery:

Bow taut, eyes fixed on the target, have you got the skill to hit the centre point? To give yourself a fighting chance, you can take a couple of lessons with one of the qualified instructors at the shooting range next to the tennis complex.
Anyone over the age of 10 can take courses over several days, or introductory classes.
Access to the shooting range is also available to licensed archers with their own equipment.
Open from June to the end of August.

Climbing:

The Armorican sandstone, which is very common is this region, offers a huge variety of shapes which are perfect for rock climbing. The Roche au Loup site is an
excellent training route, while ropes can easily be hung on the Roche aux Dames to reach its accessible summit. If you would like supervision for novices, please enquire at the Tourist Office.

Andaine Aeroclub:

In the village of Couterne, the Andaine Aeroclub has created a flying school with training courses that lead to various diplomas.
Beginners can take introductory flights with an instructor. For everyone else, the Aeroclub offers tourist flights over the Orne farmland and the region's castles.
